What is physical therapy?

Physical therapy (physiotherapy) is a health care profession, specialized in assessing and treating movement dysfunction. A physical therapist can help you if you have one or more of the following conditions:

You are in Chronic pain, suffering after an injury, overuse syndrome (Working for extended periods in the same position),postural impairment/ergonomic issues , feel tightness in one or more muscles ,pelvic floor issues, Dizziness, vertigo.

Do I need a prescription from my doctor to attend physical therapy?

You can come to Goodsheppard Physiotherapy  without a prescription from your doctor. Some insurance plans require a prescription from your doctor prior to treatment in order to receive reimbursement. We will guide you if this is the case.

How long is my physiotherapy appointment?

This depends on the injury and type of treatment you require. But expect to be in the clinic for approximately 30 minutes to one hour. During your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will discuss a treatment plan and will recommend a frequency and duration of physiotherapy. Please bring any medical reports pertaining to your condition. Every time you visit in you will be seeing your therapist for the full assessment and/or treatment time.

Do you take my insurance? Should I ask for direct billing?

Our administrative staff will help finding out your extended health care coverage for the appropriate service and directly bill to your insurance company if your plan allows it.

We accept cash, debit card, and major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard) for payment.
